3.00 to 6.00 pm : International demonstration in Nice

This demonstration will be festive and colourful, with numerous animations proposed by the groups to express their positions and propositions. Gathering at the De Lattre de Tassigny Square (face the Exhibition Palace)

3.00 pm : Joint action (posters will be distributed with instructions) and departure of the demostration

Itinerary : De Lattre de Tassigny, av. des Diables bleus, bd. Saint-Roch, bd. Virgile Barel, bd. Pierre Semard, Pont Michel, route de Turin, les Abattoirs

6.00 pm - Midnight : Concert and speeches at the former Abattoirs (route de Turin)

Concert including Lo Mago d’en Casteu, Rezo.T, GCM and the Warriors, Tournée générale, HK et les saltimbanks

Speeches of representatives from social movements and civil society organizations around the world : Gustave Massiah, Moema Miranda (Brazil), Denis Robert, Andres Penaloza, representatives of greek and tunisian movements, as well as videos which will sprinkle the concert. Drinks and fair trade organic food at the venue.

10h-12h Joint action against tax havens at Monaco’s border

Big gathering at the entrance to the border of Monaco to celebrate the end of tax havens, announced by the G20 meeting in London (April 2009). Two years later, despite the rhetoric of the G20 including N. Sarkozy, the financial sector remains the most opaque and is harmful to the interests of the people.

Let’s go on Thursday morning at the Monaco border to check if tax havens are indeed closed ... Face to the hypocrisy of the G20, let’s demonstrate in joy that we are not fooled: concert, fruit juice, animations !

Go to Cap d’Ail Avenue Three September in the parking lot of the tourism office at 10:00.
Access by road (Basse Corniche) or train (Cap d’Ail) from Nice (Station Nice-Ville or Riquier)
An appointment for grouped departure by train will be held at 9:00 at the station Riquier (at Nice East). Train departures at 9:30 am, arrival at the station Cap d’ail at 9:43. Ticket price : 2.50 euros.
For the return, starting at 12:18 the station of Cap d’Ail, arrived at 12:31 at the train station Nice Riquier.

Struggles Assembly and banquet of Alternatives around a « Spanish Auberge » (all participants contribute by bringing food to share it).

Local, national and international organizations and social movements will present their struggles, resistances, campaigns... all along the evening.

The “People First, Not Finance” Alter-Forum will be organized around six themes, symbolized by slogans:

1. Stop austerity, end inequalities (austerity, employment, social rights, welfare, debt)
2. The people, not the market (finance regulation and debt)
3. Change the system, not the planet (environnement, development)
4. Don’t gamble with our food (agriculture, food)
5. Indignados, Rebels, Solidarity (democracy, struggle in Mediterranean region, human rights)
6. They’re 20, we’re billions (global governance)
